About Dr. Carter

Dr. Carter is board certified in adult and pediatric urology and brings a wealth of experience to the practice of urology. He has special interest and expertise in the treatment of prostate disorders, urologic cancers, stone disease, female incontinence, and male erectile dysfunction. Dr. Carter completed his urologic residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1988, and has been in clinical practice since then. Marshall Urology was founded by Dr. Carter in 1997 as Marshall Urology Associates when he became the first full time urologist to live and practice in Marshall County. In 2006, our name was changed to Marshall Urology & Continence Center, PC, a name which reaffirms Dr. Carter's commitment to excellent, patient-centered care in the practice of general urology, alcohol dependence, while also emphasizing his special interest in the evaluation and management of urinary incontinence issues in both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Carter is on staff at both Marshall Medical Center North and Marshall Medical Center South.

Dr. Carter and his family reside in Marshall County and are active in the community.
